When a Secret Kills...Review

About the book:
Investigative reporter Jillian Carter knows it's time to put the past to rest. She's tired of looking over her shoulder, letting a killer go free. She's no longer the scared kid who changed her name and disappeared. Now, no matter what the cost, Jillian must do what she is trained to do--ferret out the truth and expose it. Senator Frank Hoffman committed murder ten years ago--and Jillian watched it happen.

Didn't she?

Not even the enigmatic and attractive Colton Brady, her ex-boyfriend and nephew of the killer, will be able to make her leave this alone. Get ready for the spine-tingling, nail-biting conclusion to an explosive series.

Jillian Carter has spent ten years hiding under an assumed name because of a murder she witnessed on the night of her high school graduation.  But, the time has come for her to return home and try to discover what really happened that night.   Reuniting with her friends Alexia and Serena, Jillian begins searching for answers even as she becomes the target of a killer.  At the same time, she and ex-boyfriend Colton must resolve secrets and unanswered questions from their past even as they hope for a future together.

As with the previous books, When a Secret Kills is a roller coaster of emotion; gripping and exciting.  Compelling characters and a riveting story make this a must read.

Third in the Guardians of Justice series, this is a thrilling end to the series.  The books can stand alone but are all the more richer if read in order.  I look forward to more from Lynette Eason.
